Wilma C. Dickerson was born on October 29, 1932 in Greenwood, Delaware. She received her education in the Wilmington school system. She peacefully transitioned on August 31, 2024 at the age of 91.
Wilma worked at Wilmington Dry Goods in downtown Wilmington for many years until she was transferred to Tri-State mall, which became Value City. She worked there until she retired after 20 years of dedicated service.
She enjoyed spending time with her family for holidays, birthday celebrations, and family reunions. She also enjoyed watching her favorite tv shows and doing crossword puzzles.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Beulah Dickerson, her brother Harold, her sons Samuel, Nathan and Joseph, her daughter Carolyn, and her grandchildren Eugene, John, and Shameeka.
She is survived by one brother Carlton (Bernie) Dickerson, children Regina Epps, Sherman Dickerson, Yvonne Lewis, Tony Cooper, Sandra (Thomas) Collins, Jeffrey Cooper, Sharon Cooper, James Dickerson, Charlene Brown and Brenda (Melvin) Callahan. Grandchildren – Letita Dickerson, Breanna (Jake) Henry, Anthony (Serena) Archie, Sharmaine Dickerson, Vanessa Cooper, Tracey Owens, Kenneth (Rosalind) Brown, Carolyn Lewis, Tiny Lewis, Arenthius Lamar Cooper, Toni Neal, Kenny Hawkes, Damon Collins, Dana (Karriem) Moore, Devon Collins, Cassius Turner, Lakeisha Williams, Shanetta Cooper, Shawn Cooper, Theresa (Taj) Utsey, Danita Maryland, James Davis, CherRae Dickerson, Keenan Graham, Kaala Graham, Angel Brown, Jeannee Brown, Cheryl Brown, Larry Brown, Artysha Skinner, Bernice (Kevin) Mack, Arbrea Skinner, Melvin Callahan Jr, Melva Lane and a host of great grand and great great grandchildren.
