departed this life peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 4, 2013. He was born January 14, 1932 in Gastonia, NC. Son of the late John and Annie May Warren. He retired from Laborer Union Local 199 and is a member of the Church of the Living Word in Wilmington, De. He enjoyed his life with family and friends and always greeted everyone with a smile. Preceded in death by a daughter, Willa Ray and a grandson Eugene Warren, he is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mildred Warren. Also left to cherish his memory his daughters, Doreen Roberson (Mitchell), Pamela Lazarus (Danny), Rose Warren, Shayne Lewis( Ronald), sons, Kevin Warren and Eugene Hanks (Debbie). He is also survived by two loving nephews, Victor Warren and Rayfield Warren and a close friend James Whittington. He has 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. He will be dearly missed. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Francis ICU unit, especially Nurse Curtissa and Nurse MacDonald for their professionalism and kindness toward our family.
