William Griffin

William Griffin, 81 of Newark, DE passed away peacefully at home on January 4, 2009. William was born in Columbia, MS, son of the late Bill and Viola Griffin. Aa a young man after finishing high school, he joined the military. He was wed in 1955 to wife Carrie McNair (deceased) and while they were stationed in England they adopted their devoted daughter, Karen. After retirement from the military, he then went on to work another 23 years for the Delaware Turnpike. He is survived by his daughter, Karen Griffin Campbell and son-in-law, George Campbell, Sr.; 2 granddaughters, Keelyn and Stephanie Griffin; and great grandchildren, Nyzjac, Imani, Daaron and Natalia.
