He was preceded in death by one brother, Clifford Dawson. He is survived by 2 sisters: Valerie Wiltbank of Millsboro, Delaware and Ruth Dawson of Wilmington, Delaware; 2 brothers: Malcholm and Bruce of Wilmington, Delaware.
