Sherita Janeen Jackson was born on March 15, 1978, in Wilmington, Delaware, to the parents of Larry Jackson and Paulette Jackson. Sherita passed on August 10, 2025, at her home in Wilmington, Delaware. 

Sherita, also known as "Reet Reet," graduated from Dickerson High School and attended Cobbs Elementary and Gauger Middle School. Sherita was blessed to have and raise three sons Javari Jackson, Ronjier Bradshaw, and Avonte' Harris with strength, independence, and unconditional love.

Never one to be limited by conventional boundaries, she studied business, banking, and finance through the Department of Labor's Mellon Bank program. Sherita also worked in construction, became a certified dental assistant with Radiology Certification, and later in life earned her CDL license and worked for FedEx. Becoming a certified herbalist and known as the "Delaware Tea Lady," she offered natural and organic teas, body care, and hair care products. Sherita lovingly served her community as an entrepreneur through her professional pet waste removal company, Scoopy Do's, which she ran with her son Avonte'.

Sherita was a published author, fulfilling her lifelong dream of publishing her award-winning poetry collection Thoughts of a Butterfly.. Sherita loved karaoke and singing, especially songs by Mary J. Blige, earning her the nickname "Delaware's Mary J." She enjoyed cooking, gardening, poetry, journaling, hosting family barbecues, and raising butterflies, which she released annually at Brandywine Park. Sherita especially cherished spending time with her goddaughter and niece, Alyssa, and godson, Shannon, and treasured her circle of loyal friends.

Sherita is preceded in death by her sisters Lynnette and Danita Jackson, maternal grandparents Alonzo and Mary Ann Richards, and paternal grandparents George and Fannie Jackson.

Sherita is survived by her beloved sons Javari Jackson, Ronjier Bradshaw, and Avonte' Harris; her parents, Larry and Paulette Jackson. Siblings: Dion (Dawn) Jackson, Donielle Jackson, Ernest (Tiffany) McLaughlin, and Tasha (Scott) Jackson-Thomas; her godmother, Tuwina Page; godchildren, Alyssa McLaughlin and Shannon Skinner; cherished pets, Bailey and Binx; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
