Samuel Joseph McCants was born to Samuel E. McCants (deceased) and Addie L. McCants on September 15, 1942 in Johnsonville, South Carolina. Preceding Sonny in death was his father, Samuel E. McCants, and 3 brothers, Clyde Benjamin, Sr., Tommy L. McCants and Alexander Bey McCants (Brenda). Sonny married his loving wife, Valerie (Bateman) McCants in 1993. He brought 8 children to this union, Veronica Wright (Timothy), Patricia Carter, Yvette Wiggs, Marlene Demby, Aaron Tillman, Sean McCants, Charlene Collier and Darius Collier. Sonny also leaves to cherish his memory 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, his mother, Addie LO. McCants, 3 brothers, James (Jack) McCants, Charles (Buster), Hanna (Margaret) and Jerome (Rommy) McCants (Cathy), 3 sisters, Irene Wilson (John), Alvita (Sweetie) Morin (Don) and Sandra (San( McCants and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
