Celebrating the Life of Robin Denise Blackiston-Morris
Robin Denise Blackiston-Morris was born on February 21, 1964, in Wilmington, Delaware, to
Florence Blackiston and Robert Brown. She was lovingly raised by her devoted parents, Herbert
and Florence Broadway, who provided her with a foundation of faith, family, and perseverance.
Robin shared her life with six siblings: Wanda, Robert (Wayne), Princess (Pat), Abdul, and
Blondell.
One of Robin's greatest blessings was becoming a mother to her two beloved sons, Charles E.
King, Jr. and Isaiah Morgan, who were truly the light of her life. She later became a grandmother
to two grandsons (Khalel and Nasir) and two granddaughters (Jasiah and Shyanne), each of
whom she loved with her whole heart.
Robin received her early education at Shortlidge Elementary School, followed by Bancroft and
Bayard Middle Schools, and later attended Howard Career Center, where she studied Data
(Computer) Processing. Possessing a lifelong love of learning, Robin continued her education
beyond high school by pursuing her real estate license and taking courses at Wilmington
University. Her interest in real estate eventually led her to purchase her first home in 1998.
Robin's life became even more complete when she met the love of her life, Larry E. Morris. The
couple met in 2004 on a blind date at Ruby Tuesday’s arranged by Larry’s sister (which was also
Robin’s friend). On November 21, 2007, they joined together in holy matrimony and built a
beautiful life together grounded in love, faith, friendship, and mutual support.
Robin's professional journey began in the banking industry, where her dedication and leadership
abilities helped her rise through various positions of responsibility. Her entrepreneurial spirit
inspired her to establish her own successful tax filing and preparation business. Throughout her
career, Robin worked across a variety of industries, including data analytics, financial
management, retail, and local government -- consistently demonstrating professionalism,
determination, and excellence.
Driven by her passion for serving others, Robin later founded her current business, Advantage
Plus Insurance Network which offers assistance with enrollment into Medicare, Health and
Prescription plans. Two years ago, Robin founded a second business called Essential Mobile
Notary Services by becoming a licensed Notary and Loan Signing Agent. Robin quickly
discovered a passion for connecting with people throughout the State of Delaware and assisting
them with their notarial needs. Visitors to her website (www.essentialnotaryservices.net) are
greeted by glowing reviews that reflect her professionalism, integrity, and unwavering
commitment to client satisfaction. Above all, Robin found great joy in helping others.
A devoted woman of faith, Robin accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior in 1989. She was
a member of Crossroads Ministries in Dover and found great fulfillment in sharing the Gospel of
Jesus Christ with others. Robin openly expressed her gratitude to God for His many blessings
and relied on her faith throughout every season of life. Whether attending worship services in
person or virtually, she continually sought to deepen her relationship with the Lord and grow in
His Word.
Robin especially enjoyed visiting World Changers Church International whenever she traveled to
Atlanta. Her love for their ministry was so strong that she attended the church's annual Women's
Conference in person for the past three consecutive years, an experience she thoroughly
cherished each time.
While Robin treasured her quiet moments of reflection, she also enjoyed traveling and creating
lasting memories. She frequently visited Atlanta, traveled with her husband, and enjoyed special
adventures with her sister, Wanda. To celebrate her 60th birthday, Robin traveled to sunny
Florida before embarking on a Caribbean cruise to the beautiful Bahamas—a trip she thoroughly
enjoyed. Most recently, she visited San Diego, where she delighted in the white sandy beaches,
the soothing sounds of the ocean waves, and the peaceful beauty of the Pacific coastline.
Robin will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, quiet strength, unwavering faith, and
genuine compassion for others. She had a remarkable ability to make people feel valued, heard,
and cared for. Whether through her businesses, her ministry, her family relationships, or her
everyday interactions, Robin's goal was to leave a positive and lasting impact on those around
her.
On Saturday, May 30, 2026, Robin peacefully received her angel wings while surrounded by her loving husband and beloved two sons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Florence Broadway, and Robert Brown.
Robin leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Larry E. Morris; her beloved
sons, Charles E. King, Jr. and Isaiah Morgan; her cherished grandchildren; three sisters; three
brothers; and a host of loving relatives and friends: all whose lives were blessed by knowing her.
Though our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice in knowing that Robin now rests in perfect
peace. She is reunited with her parents, grandparents, family members, and friends who have
gone before her. Her legacy of faith, service, love, and compassion will continue to inspire all
who knew her for generations to come.
