Roberta Howell

The Matriarch of the Howell family, Roberta Howell, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2017 in the Christiana Care Wilmington Hospital.
Roberta, affectionately known as "Bert", "Ms. B", "Mom B", was born on December 17, 1934 in Wilmington, DE. Daughter of the late James Smith and Elizabeth West. Roberta was a homemaker and mom to many in her neighborhood. She loved traveling with her family and watching the tv show "Family Feud" with host Steve Harvey. Roberta was preceded in death by her husband, Hallowed Lee Howell, Sr., sister Naomi Hoxter, brother William (Shorty) Bush, son Rickey Howell, and step father Levi West.
She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Hallowed Lee Jr. (Debbie), Gilbert (Jackie), Keith, Ronnie (Letitia); daughters, Sheila (Edward), Roberta (her caregiver) son-in-law Juan Kelson ; step sisters, Patricia Mercer, Diane Mercer and step brother MacDonald Mercer. She also leaves to cherish her memorable moments to a large host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and an enormous host of family and friends.
