on December 20, 2006 after a lengthy illness, Rita went home to be with the Lord at her home. She departed this earth at the age of 64, born Sept. 6, 1942, daughter of the late Edward Hightower and Christine Hightower of Wilmington, widow of the late Ronald Gardner-Watson also preceeded in death by her brother, the late Edward Hightower, Jr.,"Ed". Mother of Ronnetta of Smyrna, Tonya Hawkins of New Castle, Trina Watson, Jesse P. Griffin and Victor Watson of Wilmington, DE.
