Patricia Yvonne Seward affectionately known as "Tricia" or "Pat" was born on March 21, 1946, to Haywood and Florence Montague. She peacefully transitioned on June 7, 2026, at Christiana Care Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware.

Patricia attended Warren County public schools in NC and graduated from North Warren High School on May 31, 1963. After graduating she married Prince A. Seward Sr. on February 17, 1964. They relocated to Richmond, VA where they welcomed their first child Prince A. Seward Jr. After some time they moved to Brooklyn, NY where they resided for a little over 10 years. While living in NY she was employed at Mercer Enterprise relocating to Wilmington, DE in 1973. There they welcomed their second child Clarissa Seward. Soon after, she became employed at Ursuline Convent where she worked for over 30 years until she retired in 2014.

Patricia was a faithful member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in NC until moving to Delaware where she later became a faithful member of Led By The Spirit Fellowship Church. There she worked in the finance department, cooked, and sang. She was a active member of the North Carolina Social Club of Wilmington, DE in which she held the secretary position. She loved being around family and friends and enjoyed talking on the phone, shopping taking rides, doing word search puzzles and listening to her favorite gospel singer "Lee Williams ". In her early days she was what you call a "kitchen beautician " and if you ever needed a stain removed from your clothing she was the go to. And trust she would get it out. She was a great baker and you could always count on her making sweet potato and coconut pies at the holidays.

She was proceeded in death by her parents Haywood and Florence Montague, husband Prince A. Seward Sr., sisters Sallie Montague, Clara Johnson, Jennette Twitty, and brother Haywood Montague.

Patricia is survived by her son Prince A. Seward Jr., daughter Clarissa Seward, sisters Theresa Coleman and Mahalie Johnson, brothers Nick and Charles (Brenda) Montague, god-daughter Savannah Coleman, and a host of other relatives and extended family and friends.
