Catherine transitioned on December 23, 2017 at Gilpin Hall. Catherine was born on January 13, 1921 in Cambridge, MD to Edward and Lacey Smith. Catherine was the mother of Bethel AME Church in Wilmington where she served for more than 50 years. Mother Barber is the loving mother of GloRia J.(MyRon) Smith. She will be missed by her family, church family and friends.
