In Loving Memory of Mary Ann Brezial

Mary Ann Brezial, born on December 3, 1954, in Wilmington, De, was born to the late Lawyer Brezial and Laura Brezial. She passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, in Wilmington.

Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew her. She graduated from Howard High School of Technology and spent her life dedicated to hard work and caring for others. Mary began her career at Star Janitorial Services and later worked at Quality Inn Hotel, where she faithfully served for 10 years. She ultimately retired from University of Delaware after 25 years of dedicated service. Even after retirement, Mary remained active and continued working with Red Clay Consolidated School District and Giant Grocery. Her strong work ethic and commitment to serving others were evident throughout her life.

Mary enjoyed many hobbies and simple pleasures that brought her happiness. She loved traveling the world, gathering with family and friends, playing the lottery, and spending time watching her favorite television shows during her leisure time. She treasured creating memories with those she loved most and found joy in every opportunity to bring people together.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Lawyer Brezial Sr. and Laura Brezial; her brothers, Lawyer Brezial Jr., Elvis Brezial, and Jimmy Brezial; and her sister, Debbie Thompson.

She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, Oscar “Lurch” Brezial; sister, Laurena Carter; her children, Karen Brezial (Lamont) and Priscella Brezial-Saunders (Anthony); grandchildren Robert Dunnum III, Micayla Brezial, Tyre’anna Person, Brianna Brezial, and Xavier Weddington; great-grandchildren Reaunna Dunnum, Layloni Gomez, and Ka’My Person; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

Mary’s love, laughter, strength, and devotion to family will never be forgotten. Though she has departed from this earthly life, her spirit and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

"Forever loved, forever remembered, forever missed."
