“God saw him getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So, He wrapped His arms around him and whispered, ‘Come home to Me.’”

On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Mark D. Alberts Jr. departed this life, in Wilmington, Delaware. Though our hearts are heavy, we hold on to the blessed assurance that God’s love and mercy are greater than our pain, and that Mark is now resting in eternal peace.

Born on January 19, 1983, in Wilmington, Delaware, Mark lived 43 years filled with love, laughter, and a spirit that shined brightly everywhere he went.

Mark was the beloved son of Mark D. Alberts Sr. and Sabrina Ali, and the cherished brother of Darien Thomas and Sierra Antonio. He now joins his grandparents in eternal rest. Mark attended and graduated from McKean High School in Wilmington, DE. Mark was employed with Wilmington Head Start for several years in the maintenance department and would go above and beyond his duties.

Mark met his wife Precious White-Alberts in 2008 and married on April 22, 2015. They created a beautiful family who were the joy and pride of his life. Anyone who knew Mark’, knows his greatest joy was being a husband and father. His daughters, Lauryn, Sabria and Mia, were the very heartbeat of his life. He also embraced his bonus children Devon, Illyana, and Imani, and Lauryn with deep love and care as his own. As an uncle, he poured laughter, guidance, and tenderness into the lives of his nieces and nephews.

Mark served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, carrying himself with strength, discipline, and integrity.

He shared a close and meaningful bond with his extended family, including his sister-in-law Kendra White-Fowler (John), his father-in-law Percy White, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones. His friendships, especially with David Harris and Quincey Thomas, were rooted in loyalty, trust, and brotherhood.

Mark found joy in the simple blessings of life, family movie nights, game nights, and watching his favorite film, The Last Dragon. He had a gift for making people laugh and bringing light into every room.

Music was his passion. As DJ Phantom, Mark brought people together, filled spaces with joy, and created moments that will never be forgotten. His love for music and the memories he created will continue to live on.

A protector by nature, Mark taught his children martial arts and self-defense, instilling confidence and strength. He was also an author and creator who published a graphic novel and working on a graphic novel series. He enjoyed gaming as a space of imagination and connection. Most importantly, he made sure his children always knew how deeply they were loved.

Mark leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unforgettable memories. Though he is no longer with us physically, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

He fought a good fight. He finished his course. He kept the faith.

And now, he rests in peace.
