Marcella Olivia Boyer was born on January 29, 1956 in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Robert and Mary Boyer Sr. She departed this life on August 17, 2020 at Wilmington Hospital. Marcella attended schools in Wilmington, Delaware graduating from Pierre S. DuPont High School in 1974, where she marched with the school's band as a head majorette. After high school, she furthered her education graduating from Rowan University in New Jersey, Winston Salem University in North Carolina, and Glassboro State University in New Jersey.
