Lawrence James Collins

Lawrence departed this life on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Compassionate Care Hospice Facility in Wilmington, Delaware.


Lawrence was born September 12, 1944 to the late Anderson & Solonia Collins in Snow Hill, Maryland.
He was employed as a long distance truck driver and then retired in August of 2013 from the City of Wilmington as Assistant Supervisor in the Department of Public Works.


Lawrence leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 50 years, Joyce Collins; two sons, Quinton Collins Sr. (Lisa), Anel Collins (Leonette); niece whom he raised, Java Keller(Alvin); four grandchildren, Marlisa, Quinton Jr., Lawrence and Jacqueline; two sisters, Ruth Collins & Alice Turner (Roosevelt); sister-n-law, Lottie Collins; special friends, Albert Jones and Lamonte Booker and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
