Judith Lynn "Judi B" Buchanan

Judith Lynn Birckett Buchanan affectionately known as “Judi B.” was born May 10, 1957, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Morris and Carol Birckett Sr. She fell asleep in death Wednesday January 28, 2026, in Wilmington, Delaware.

Judi B. received her early childhood education from Sayre Junior High. In 1975 she graduated from Edward Bok Technical High School. After school she worked at various hospitals and higher learning institutions. She proudly retired from the University of Delaware in 2022.

Judi B. attended South New Castle Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed sharing her faith with others and enthusiastically entered the full-time ministry after retiring from her secular career. Judi B. enjoyed travelling, tanning on the beach, and attending concerts, especially Will Downing and Kem.

Judi was preceded in death by her parents Morris and Carol Birckett Sr. Judi is survived by her husband Boyd Buchanan Jr, son Chad (Erica) Buchanan, daughter Courtney Buchanan, grand-children Khai and Justin Buchanan, brother Morris “Skip” (Carol) Birckett Jr., and a host spiritual children, nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and extended family.
