Jah’Mir Terrell Johnson, was born May 15, 2003 in Wilmington, Delaware. His
parents are Sherrell and Kimwana. He was the older brother to Cameron and
Mo’Nae.
He gained his wings on Thursday May 8, 2025 at Christiana Hospital, Wilmington,
Delaware.
Jah’Mir in his early education had attended Kuumba Academy. Where he
graduate 8th grade. He then graduated from Mount Pleasant High School. Where
he played J.V. football. He was number 55. Later on Jah’Mir, decided to go to
Delaware Skills Center where he successfully completed the state-approved for
Nurse Aide Training and competency evaluation program.
Just in this year he applied to West End Neighborhood House. He successfully completed the Forklift
Operator Training. Were he received his certificate. He then went on to become
an intern with his uncle Jesse Woody. Learning how to be a maintenance
operator. Jah’Mir gain knowledge in painting. He would paint the bookshelves for
the children for summer camp. He helps to maintain the grounds and other
maintenance duties. He enjoyed planting flowers and making sure the gym was
ready for the children each day. He really enjoyed working with his uncle Jesse.
Jah’Mir accepted Christ at an early age joining New City Church. There he was
involved in the youth group, Christmas pageant and attended many youth
conference trips. He loved to help with the men around the church. He was a
joker, who loves to make others laugh.
Jah’Mir loved to spend time on the front porch with his dad. They would talk
about sports and life for hours. Jah’Mir and his brother Cameron had a Monday
Night routine. They would watch Monday Night Raw. Where they would trash talk
about their wrestling teams. Sometimes they would wrestle to see who could pin
who down. In the winter time came the trash talk about the football teams.
Jah’Mir team was the Atlanta-Falcons and Cameron’s team was the Eagles. Once
Jah’Mir team would lose then he would get mad and change team to the Biltmore
Raven. Jah’Mir and his little sister Mo’Nae would get on her tablet and listen to
songs. They would sing and dance together. Every day when she came home, he
would give her a big hug. He was a mentor to his brother and sister.
Jah’Mir enjoys watching movies with his mom. He knew the movie Friday, word
by word. He would drive her crazy repeating those words and acting out the
scene. Together they would walk to the Dollar Tree and enjoy talking about things
going on in his life. He would sing all the time. His favor artist was Marvin Sapp.
He loved his song “Never Would’ve Have Made It.” He would be silly all the time.
Jah’Mir, God-Mom (Stacy Brooks) used to watch him quite a bit when he was
young. He would take trip to Maryland with his mom to visit her. They went
together to the Sixers basketball game. We’ve they had deep conversations about
what he wanted to do with life and what she wanted to see him accomplish.
His favorite fast food restaurant was Chick-Fil-A. They were always on his wish list
for Christmas. His favorite meal would be there chicken sandwich, waffle fries and
their shakes with the cherry on top. Jah’Mir love walking up to his grandparent’s
house to have lunch or dinner. He would help with planting plants, painting the
basement walls and vacuuming out their cars.
Jah’Mir enjoys spending time with his Aunt Aikeyla, cousins Clemial, III (Tre) and
Taylor from Chesapeake, Virginia. They would go to amusement parks together.
There favorite places were Clementon Park, Dorney Park, and Great Adventures.
He also took trip to Wildwood, New Jersey, with his dad, grandparents Clifford
and Elizabeth, Aunt Latisha and Uncle Will. One day while bike riding with his aunt
Latisha they rode down to the Pier and watch the sunset and they would talk for
many hours. Jah’Mir enjoyed spending quality time with Grandmom Liz. They
would walk to the store and talk. He also spends time going to Philadelphia for
the weekend with Pop Pop Clifford. They would talk about life while walking to
the store.
As we reflect on his life, let us find some comfort in the knowledge that he is with
our Heavenly Father, rejoicing in his presence. We will miss him deeply, but we
will hold onto the hope that one day we will be reunited.
Jah’Mir was preceded in death by his uncle ( C ) Clemial Faulkner, Jr., his
grandmothers, Dora Faulkner and Dorothy Woody,: and his cousin Jahlil Patton.
He leaves to cherish in his memory with his dad Kimwana and his mom Sherrell,
his brother Cameron and sister Mo’Nae, his grandparents Clifford and Elizabeth
Johnson, Clemial and Carolyn Faulkner, Aunt Aikeyla Faulkner, Aunt Latisha
Serrano, Uncle Will Serrano, favorite, Uncle Jesse Woody, Great Uncle Calvin
Brown, and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives, church family and
many, many, many friends.
