Henry was born to Mary L. Spencer and the late Henry E. Spencer, Sr.
Henry graduated from DeLaWarr High School. He then served his country in the US Navy, the Navy Reserve and was honorably discharged.
Henry was a dedicated employee of the City of Wilmington. After 38 years, he retired from the City of Wilmington as Payroll Manager and HR Information Administrator.
Henry leaves to cherish fond memories with his mother, Mary L. Spencer; sisters, Cecelia Vanderhost and Cynthia Spencer; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
