Gloria J. Canty

Gloria J. Canty (Googie) daughter of the late Dea. LeRoy E. and Mary Jane Hynson was born June 11, 1943 in Wilm, DE. She went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 20, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. Gloria graduated from Howard High School and was employed at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of DE., where she retired after 38 years of service in November 2005. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Faith Tabernalce Holy Church. She leaves to cherish her memories, daughter, Pastor Cynthia M. Canty-Barnett (Ronald); her dedicated and loving son, Minister Willie A. Canty, Jr.; 3 grandchildren, Cynkia and Chant'e Bowden and Tynisha Cotton; 2 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Marian T. Waters; 4 brothers, Harold E. (Mary), Lionel L. (Audrey), Theodore L. (Wanda) and Kenneth B. Hynson (Tanya); 2 aunts, Myrtle and Esther Hynson; nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends.
