Gladys Groce

Gladys moved to Wilmington from Brooklyn, New York in 1976 where she was employed and retired from Emily P. Bissell Hospital. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dennis (Benny) Groce, her grand-daughter, Mecca Dominque Downes, two sisters; Emma Cain and Naomi Wright and five brothers; Wilson, Sr;Isaac O. Jr;William and George L. Downes and Carvalee Brown. She was the beloved mother of Michael Tyrone Downes and mother-in-law to Mary (Haile)Downes, Grandmother to Michael LeShone and Marques Robert. Sister to Viola Jarman, Elsie Wood, Beatrice Downes and Mable Miller and Calvin Brown of Wilmington, DE, John Thomas Downes of Middletown, DE, and Marvin Brown of Federalsburg, MD. as wellas a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
