Franklin W. Hamilton Sr., son of the late Mattie (Jenkins) Hamilton and Harrison Hamilton, passed away, Saturday, May 7, 2011 at home, surrounded by his family. Frank retired from Georgia Pacific in 1992. He was a member of Chester Elks, a member of Ezion Mt. Carmel Men's Choir, The Hilderman Choral and pianist for Ezion Mt. Carmel U. M. Church. Mr. Hamilton was preceded in death by his brothers, Harrison Bushrod Hamilton and Calvin P. Hamilton; 1 sister Roberta Broadwater. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Mary Lucy Hamilton (Saunders), 3 daughters, Aileen (Bunnie) Anderson, Pamela R. Henderson and Robin L. Hamilton, 3 sons, Franklin W. Hamilton, Jr., David H. Hamilton and James R. Hamilton, 1 sister, Alma Hamilton of Corona, CA; he also leaves his loving niece, Charlotte Hamilton Boyd and her son Victor Cephas, 12 grandchildren, Kimberly R. Hamilton, Nyree E. Anderson, Shantelle Henderson, Kamilah Brown, Michelle McCauslin, Vanessa Hawkins, Cassandra Hamilton, Frank Brown, Durell Hamilton, Corey Boyer, Steven L. Henderson, Taraye Goldsberry and great-grand son, Cordaro (Cory) Hamilton; 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
