Frances Wanamaker

Evangelist Frances O. (Charles) Wanamaker, daughter of the late Lena Rebecca Wise Sample, was born on February 10, 1920. She departed this life on Monday, January 23, 2012, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wilmington, DE. She received her education in Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. Evangelist Wanamaker was employed as a domestic worker in Wilmington for many years. She also was a foster grandmother to many and a caregiver at Westside Daycare until her health began to fail. She met and was united in holy matrimony to the late Elder James R. Wanamaker on August 22, 1967. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra V. Hodges, one son-in-law, Bertram Hodges, one granddaughter, Ieshia, six great-grandchildren, and eight step-children, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and other church members, especially the St. Luke Temple church family.
