Doris Lorraine Murphy Strickland age 78, was born February 7, 1933 in Wilmington, DE to the late Spurgeon and Pocahontas Hatcher Murphy. She departed this life on December 4, 2011 at the home of her daughter, Rhonda S. Davis in Hillsboro, AL. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 63 years, George M. Strickland; four sons; George R. Strickland, Grand Forks, ND; Keith K. Strickland, Dallas, TX; and Mark R. Strickland, Little Rock, AR; George Smallwood, Wilmington, DE; three daughters; Rhonda S. Davis (Edward) Hillsboro, AL; Valenti A. Thomas, Aeia, HI; and Katrina L. Strickland (Raymond), Little Rock, AR; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
