DeAnna Elizabeth Cardenas

DeAnna Elizabeth Cardenas was born in Port Arthur, TX on August 8th, 1954. She passed away on April 3rd 2026 in her apartment in Wilmington DE.

DeAnna received her early education from Sacred Heart in Port Arthur. She graduated from Bishop Byrne High School, and received her associates from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. After school she worked in facilities with General Motors in Michigan before moving to Wilmington, DE in 2006.

DeAnna was a faithful member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wilmington, DE. She loved to sing and loved bringing others joy through song. DeAnna dedicated her life to serving in the choir as a member, director and cantor at each parish she joined through her years.

DeAnna was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Cardenas. mother Dorothy Cardenas, and brother Nathaniel Cardenas.

DeAnna is survived by her son Owen Cardenas and his wife Ana Gabriela, sister Doris English, and a host of relatives and friends.
