Curtis Small

Curtis Small was born on November 10, 1930. He passed away on September 23, 2024. He was

born in Savannah, Georgia, and spent the later part of his youth in Southern Florida. He lived most

of his adult life in Philadelphia.

He was preceded in death by his mother Annie Mae Small, his father Alexander Small, Sr., and his

brothers Joseph Small and Alexander Small, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years Peggy A. Small of Hockessin, Delaware, his daughter Lisa S.

Small of Hockessin, and his son Curtis Small, Jr., also of Hockessin. He is also mourned by his

grandson Kirk Khalfani Simms and his great-granddaughter Leilani Simms.

Up until his retirement thirty years ago, Curtis Small was a tractor and trailer operator. For many

years he was also a member of the Wynnefeild Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, in

Philadelphia.

He was beloved by everyone who knew him, on account of his kindness and his loving nature.

Fishing was his favorite pastime.
