Cornelius Green

Cornelius Green was born, March 3, 1923 in King William County, VA and departed this life October 27, 2005 in Wilmington, DE. Affectionately called Greeny, Cornelius was one of eleven children and the last surviving son of the late Blanche and William Antone Green. He was a lifetime member of the Friendship Baptist Church where he served as a trustee and member of the Sunday School Ministry. Greeny was a hardworking man and not too proud to do an honest day's work. He worked as a machinist for many years, retiring from the NVF Corporation. Cherishing his memory, is his wife of over fifty years, Mary Ada; his daughter, Marie Hawkins; granddaughter, Rosemarie Hawkins; great grandchildren, Kevin, and Kendre Dixon and Anthony Nuriddin; five great -great grandchildren, Kevin, Kenneth, Miracle, Shane and Kimani; 2 sisters, Lillie Mae Edwards of Wilm., DE and Georgia Johnson of Richmond, VA;1 sister-in-law; 4 brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
