Born Charles Benny Scott, on March 25, 1935, in Glenn Roger’s, West Virginia. Son of Grady Lee Scott and Geneva Scott. second marriage of his mother Geneva to SnowJoe Barnett. Charles would be raised in Elkins West Virginia for his child and teenage years. At Bluefield High School, Charles met and fell head over hills in love with Ardenia Lawanda Lockett. Ardenia reciprocated the love from Charles , Her beloved "Benny C" for short Ben.

 Charles and Ardenia ( His Beloved Dean) were married in 1954, just before Charles join the United States Navy in 1955 and served with distinctive honors until 1959. While enlisted in the United States Navy, two children were born from there union and Gwendolyn Justina and Carlos Benny Scott Jr. In 1958 Charles began working for Zutz Professional Liability Insurance Company. Where he worked until his retirement.

 In 1960 Charles , started attending The Glorious Church of God in Christ, under the Annioted Pastor Charles Curtis Lockett. Pastor Lockett and the Saints tarry with Charles, until he received the free gift of the Holy Ghost. After years of Discipleship under Elder Lockett. Bishop Scott was ordained and sent forward by Bishop Perry Lindsey of The Glorious Church of God In Christ,to open church for and to the glory of God in Chester, Pennsylvania. Also, during this time Elder Charles Benny Scott was anointed and selected by the three original Bishops of The Glorious Church of God In Christ as General Secretary for the National Assembly of The Glorious Church of God in Christ. 

During Bishop’s ministry, the Lord would use him to open churches at 9 Revis Ave, New Castle Delaware , Chapman Drive, New Port Riches, Florida, 22nd Washington St. Wilmington, 907 Corner Ketch Road, Hockessin Delaware. In 2001 Bishop was blessed with his second wife, his beloved ( Loretta) Mother Loretta Bordrick Scott. Bishop’s hobbies, interests and favorite past times were, Den Leader for US. Boys Scouts, boxing, fishing, eating fresh kernel popcorn and watching Notre Dame football games with his son Carlos on Saturday afternoons in the fall of the year.

Bishop Charles Scott was preceded in death by his fathers Grady Lee Scott and SnowJoe Burnett, mother, Geneva Burnett, brothers Frank Scott, William Scott, and LeRoy Scott, first wife Mother Ardenia Lawada Lockett Scott, second wife Mother Loretta Bordrick Scott, step children, Myron Jones, Charlane Jones, and Alonzo Jones, grandchildren, Brandon Maddox, and Alfred Jones. 

 Bishop Charles Scott, is survived by daughter Gwendolyn Justina Scott, Carlos Benny Scott Jr., Stepchildren: Wayne Dixon (Wanda), Loretta Watson (Alfred), Betty Rae Jones (Robert), Brandon Bordrick (Sicily), Derwin Bordrick (Patricia), and Rozanna (Jackie, deceased); grandchildren Emanuel Dean Scott, Daniel Benny Scott. Kirk Benson (Anna), Deacon Reginald Jones, Jelani Jones, Aaron Benson, Robert Delgado (Maria), Khary Dixon, Jamal Maddox, Shannon Jones, Shavonne Taylor, Shalon Bordrick, Lakesha Bordrick, Sicily Bordrick, Amaya Bordrick, Aurelius Bordrick, great grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends
