Beth Ann Boyer

Beth Ann Boyer, our beloved family member and friend, made a peaceful transition to eternal rest on May 9, 2025. Her life began in York, PA on April 22, 1967. She was the only child of the late Richard E. Boyer and the late Phyllis Letha Jones Boyer.

As a child, Beth knew the Lord early and was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church in York, PA. While there, she was involved in many activities including the Junior Usher Board, the Junior Choir, Representative at Central Baptist Association Youth Conventions, and Sunday School Secretary.

Beth attended public schools in York County and graduated from Dallastown Area High School in 1985 with honors. She received two degrees from the Pennsylvania State University at University Park - a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1988 and a Masters of Business Administration degree in Finance in 1990. While at Penn State, Beth was initiated into the Epsilon Gamma Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. on April 18, 1986. She was on the dean’s lists multiple times and participated actively with the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and Black Student Union.

After graduation, Beth worked in the Philadelphia area at Unisys Corporation as a Senior Financial Analyst from 1990-1992 before moving to Atlanta. While in Atlanta, she worked for Coca-Cola Enterprises and The Coca-Cola Company from 1992-1998 and for BellSouth (now AT&T) from 1998-2007, advancing from a Senior Financial Analyst to a Finance Manager. After her Mom’s death in 2007, she moved back to the Northeast to work as a Sr Finance Manager at AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals in Wilmington, DE for a couple years. She also worked as a Regional Controller at RSC Equipment Rental and lastly, as a Business Manager, Finance & Admin at the Wharton School in Philadelphia. 

In her personal life, Beth was committed to her church, community and family. She was always active in her local church, helping wherever needed. She was a lifetime member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., where she held various financial officer positions. She also served on the Scholarship Committee and, most recently, held the position as Sergant-At-Arms for the Wilmington (DE) Alumnae Chapter. She also was a lifetime member of the National Black MBA Association, a business organization she initially joined in Philadelphia; where she was a past Vice President, Secretary, and Membership Co-Chair in the Atlanta Chapter. She loved attending her family reunions & served as National President from 2011-Present. Lastly, she was a sports enthusiast and particularly loved cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Penn State Nittany Lions.

To cherish her memory, Beth leaves 4 aunts: Bessie Glover and Charlotte Boyer, of York, PA, Jennifer Daugherty of Texas, Alexantha Jones of Oregon; 2 uncles: Jason Jones and Schuyler Jones, both of York, PA; one godson, Quinn McKenzie of Silver Spring, MD; one goddaughter, Olivia Hardman of Smyrna, GA; and a host of other family members and friends.
