Baynard Wright

Baynard Wright was born on February 17, 1957, in Wilmington, DE to the late Wilbert Sr. and Mildred Wright. He went home to be with the Lord on June 19,2025 in the comfort of his home.

 Baynard graduated from Middletown High School and soon after joined the Delaware National Guard where he was honorably discharged in 1976. He also worked in construction for many years before retiring. Baynard cherished his family and friends and enjoyed watching a good football game (specifically the Eagles) and eating crabs. Some of his hobbies included fishing, listening to music, and cooking.

 He was preceded in death by his son, Baynie Wright, in 2021. Baynard is survived by his siblings: Pastor Odell (Eva) Wright, Kevin Wright, Frances, Ronald, Earl, Gail, Duncan (Doris) Dorsey, David (Jennifer) Dorsey, Gloria (Michael) Gibson, and Eva (Henry Jr.) Pinkney. 

His memory lives on through his children: Jamil (Grace) Wright, Tavis Wright, Theron Wright, and Dyonne Wright, along with 22 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and his special friend, Carmen Santiago and her family.
