William A. Caudle

William Albert Caudle Sr. (also known as Bill) passed away at his home surrounded by his family. He was 72 years old. William was born August 18, 1941 in Nash County, North Carolina born to Lindsey Alva Caudle and Annie Lee Richardson. William's siblings are Barbara Mobley and Vynisha Richardson. William attended Nash County school district and graduated from Swift Creek high school. He spent a great deal of time on his grandparents farm, on which was on their own land, and he loved all of the farm animals. William loved baseball and had been playing since he was a child. In his spare time he would fish, hang out with his friends and his cousins Herman Lynch (also known as June Boy) and Peter, as well as being a pro at roasting a pig and making chopped barbecue. He was known by his grandchildren for playing nintendo. His favorite games were Super Mario Brothers and Gunsmoke. William will be remembered as a man of many words and always spoke his mind. He was always the life of the party and could charm a room full of people. William came to the Northeast in the early 1950's. Upon arrival, he started working with Magnum Construction with his uncle Percy Skinner. While working with Percy, he learned how to do cement finishing and started his own company, Bill Caudle's Concrete. Bill started this company in the late 1960's and ran the business through the late 1980's. He retired as a cement finisher in 2002 and worked as a part time school bus driver until he retired June 6, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Cordero Caudle; also by his first wife, Mildred Daughtry-Caudle. From their union they had three children: Lucillia, William Jr., and Derrick Caudle. William remarried again in 1984 to Victoria Caldwell and from this union they had two children: Terris Caldwell and Cassandra (Marvin) Kornegay.
