Vivian K. Locke

Vivian K. Locke, aka Bill, was born on January 22, 1937 to the late James and Helen (Sadler)Lewis in Gordon, Georgia. She was the baby of three daughters. She transitioned to her heavenly home on December 1, 2020.

Vivian graduated from Howard High School in 1956. Where she studied cosmetology. She was a self-employed beautician for over two decades. Vivian later went to work for Chrysler where she retired after 25 plus years of service.

Vivian was a devoted member of Great St. John Baptist church. She served on the Usher Board, Pastor's Aide and Youth Choir. Vivian loved church and attended regularly until her health declined. Her favorite hyms were "Amazing Grace" and "Precious Lord". She loved praising the "Lord". She was always about her father's business, visiting the sick or just helping someone with a kind word or her beautiful smile.

Special Acknowledgement to her baby daughter Vivian and son-in-law Chris for being loving and devoted caretakers.

She was preceded in death by her oldest sister, Alma Herring, son George Robert Kelley and grandson Kevin Waterman.

Vivian leaves to cherish her memories four loving and devoted children; James Carlton Lewis II(Robin) of McDonough, GA, Gwen Cooper(Rick) of Atlanta GA, Vivian Frantone(Chris) and Kevin Locke(Lucy) of Wilmington, DE. Her sister Dorothy L. Gary of Atlanta, Ga; Great Aunt Marian Jefferies of Monticello, GA. Grandchildren; Destiny Morehead(Greg) of Dearborn, MI., Dionna Todd of Virginia and James Carlton Lewis III(Jamie) of Noblesville, IN. Vivian is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews family and friends.
