Shirley K. (Hudson) Parker, affectionately known as Sis, was born on January 25, 1937 in Snow Hill, Md. to the late James and Louise Hudson. She departed this life peacefully on March 4, 2018 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She received her formal education in Newark, Md at Worcester High School. Shirley was united in holy matrimony to John W. Parkerr and from this union five children were born; Betty, Patricia, Willie, Debbie and Angela. Aftre moving to Delaware in 1965 she continued to do domestic work and later decided to retire from work and dedicate time in watching her grandchildren which she loved. On September 21, 1977 she gave her life to Christ and years later joined Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church in Wilmington, De. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 23 and she enjoyed listening to her gospel music especially her quartet. Shirley enjoyed her several hobbies, crocheting, making beaded arrangements, nuturing small animals, her pets, sewing, fishing, crabbing, baking and cooking. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Randolph, William and Elwood Hudson and 1 sister, Mildred Drumgo. Shirley leaves to cherish her memoies, her 5 children; Betty Garden-Hightower, Patricia Parker, Willie Parker(Diane), Debbie(Parker) Holmes(Tony), Angela Parker; 3 brothers, Lester Hudson of Baltimore, Md, Preston and Nathaniel Hudson of Wilmington, De.; 1 sister-in-Law Doris Hudson; 1 Uncle, Tom Collins of Powellville, Md; 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
