Shelton Alexander Harding

Mr. Shelton Alexander Harding, born August 9th,1951, in Chester, PA, transitioned into Eternal

Rest on November 22, 2023.  A kind, considerate, compassionate man, he was a music buff who enjoyed

a substantial restored record collection. He was also a sports fan who was especially devoted to his

beloved Philadelphia Eagles football team. He attended schools for the disabled in Johnstown and Old

Forge, Pa. Although he was a man who was physically challenged due to a childhood accident, he

competed in wheelchair basketball, loved playing pool, and was active both within the abled and disabled

communities. He remained a productive member of society and worked various jobs throughout his life.

Mr. Harding was predeceased by his parents, Delores Harding and Melvin Harding of Chester, Pa,

and siblings Kimberly Chase, Regina Johnson, Donald Harding, and Thomas Harding. Shelton also

leaves behind to cherish his memory his three brothers: Melvin Harding, Rahn Harding, and James

Harding; Four sisters: Denise Brown, Sherrie Harding, Joyce Harding, and Jacqueline Mohamed, as well

as his sisters-in-law; Irene Tsilimidis-Harding and Anna Harding, plus numerous cousins, nieces, and

nephews.

Mr. Harding’s outgoing personality and caring disposition will be profoundly missed by all who knew

and loved him. Funeral services for Shelton Harding will be held at Wright's Funeral Home, 208 E 35th

St., Wilmington, DE 19802 on Wednesday, December 6 th from 2-3pm.  The viewing will take place from 1-

2pm preceding the funeral service.
