Rosetta W. Smith

Rosetta Smith was born on September 23, 1933, in Wilmington, DE to Mable Ray and Frank Ramsey she passed on October 11, 2022, in Wilmington, DE.

Rosetta received her early education through the Wilmington public school system. Rosetta met the love of her life during her time at school. And on December 22, 1949, they were married, and from that union they had eight children, Rosetta was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her children and doing various crafts, such as painting, knitting, and sewing. Rosetta loved making clothing for herself and her family if it didn't have pockets she wasn't wearing it or she would make it herself. She would put pockets on everything she owned. Rosetta enjoyed her time spent at the Life Center. It was there that she was able to reunite with her childhood friend Priscilla Ringold. She made many friends while attending the Saint Francis Life Center and Fresenius Kidney Care at Saint Francis Hospital.

Rosetta was preceded in death by her husband Louis L. Smith and son Lambert L. Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memory daughters Josetta, Loretta, Rosita, Rhoda, Losita, her sons Elbert and James one son-in-law Tyrone; 24 grandchildren, 50 plus great-grandchildren, and a host of great-great-grandchildren.
