Reginald M. Boney Sr.

Reginald Boney affectionately known as "Reg or Reggie or Boney", age 66 departed this life on May 20, 2024 in Wilmington, Delaware. He was born in Rosehill, North Carolina on November 17, 1957 to Barbara Boney and Robert Boney-deceased.


He received his early education in the public school at PS Dupont in Wilmington, Delaware. After attending PS Dupont, in 1975 he enrolled in Job Corp where he graduated and received his degree in general studies. In 1977, Reginald "Reggie" enlisted in the Military United States Army and served for many years before being discharged in 1982. In 1983, he met the love of his life Sheila who joined hands in holy matrimony in 1998. After the military , he decided to shift gears and became a tractor trailer driver for many years. In 2018, he retired from driving trailers. In 2018, he and his wife Sheila decided to birth Bones towing company.


Reginald (Reggie) was known for his bright and infectious smile that could light up any room. His humor was crazy and his laughter was contagious. A self-made, hardworking man who lived life on his own terms and enjoyed spending time with his wife and children.


He was preceded in death by his father Robert James Boney and his sister Cheryl Denise Boney, his aunt Leslie Pennington, aunt Geneva Bostic, aunt Angie Williams, uncle Liston L. Boney, uncle Wilbert, uncle Willie B. Hunt, uncle Howard Williams, uncle James Williams, his brother -in-law James C. Wallace.


Reginald (Reggie) leaves to cherish his living memory: his wife Sheila Boney, his mother Barbara Boney, mother -in-law Cleyo Bateman, his sons Reginald Boney Jr., Ryan Boney (Dejanira), Ramell Boney, Robert Boney, bonus son William White his daughters Regina Boney, bonus daughters Lateasa (Julian) Scott Rayshawn White, his brother Robert W. Boney (Monica), his brother- in-law Frank Bateman (Gloria), Dwayne Bateman, Timothy Bateman, his sister Cathy Wallace his 25 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
