Kevin D'Anthony Waterman

Kevin D' Anthony Waterman, only child of Robert "Kevin" and Cynthia "Lucy" Waterman Locke; was born on February 12, 1990, in Newark Delaware, and transitioned from earth to his eternal rest on Friday, July 20, 2012. "Lil Keviv", as he was affectionately known as by his family & friends, had eye and a smile that would charm you consistently. He was a product of Wilmington's Eastside Community and a blessing to his family. Kevin received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age, and was a member of Ezion Fair Baptist Church under the stewardship of both: Reverend Rufus Johnson , and Reverend Dr. Christopher Curry. While serving at Ezion Fair Baptist Church, he served on the youth choir and as an Usher on the Junior Usher Board. Kevin was educated in the Christiana and Colonial School Districts;where he was a "Beast" to be reckoned with as it related to his athleticism in basketball. He was simply amazing to watch as he broke "Presses" on defense, and score repeatedly on offense. He was ranked among the NBA's finest such as: his Dad and former coach; Uncle Stan; and younger cousin Kyle Evans, whom he loved as his brother. Kevin received numerous basketball trophies and awards in various leagues and tournaments. Kevin met the apple of his eye and devoted girlfriend Yasmeena Brown during his high school days. From this love story came his only daughter, Ya'ziah, the mini powerhouse that stole his heart, and made a difference in his life. Kevin was a friend to all he knew and considered his friends as family, of which he loved them unconditionally. Preceded him in death was his paternal grandfather Robert Locke, Sr. Kevin will be deeply missed, and his fond memories will be cherished by his parents, Robert Kevin Locke and Cynthia Marie Waterman-Locke; daughter, Ya'ziah Waterman; devoted friend, Yasmeena Brown; grandparents, Willie and Lula Waterman and Vivian Locke;Godparents, Stan and Robyn Waterman;aunts and uncles:Geneva(Eddie) Mowbray, Michael Waterman;Minister Ricky (Betty) Waterman;Dene Waterman; Stan (Robyn) Waterman;Bobby ( Patricia) Kelly;James (Debra) Lewis;Gwendolyn (Rick) Cooper;Vivian (Chris) Frantone;Donzella Lum; and Michelle (Tom) Jackson; god-sister and brothers: Neddicka (Elijah) Sanders, Edrick Jones, Paris Waterman , Tyron Foster, Tierra Eddy, Ciara Brown, and Jaziah Crawford; special cousin Amos Cyrus and a host of other great aunts and uncles, cousins, devoted family and friends.
