Keith L. Smith

Keith L. Smith was born on December 27, 1951 in Coatesville, PA to the late Albie L. Lee (Burruss) and Willard H. Smith Sr.


Keith received his diploma from Wilmington High School. While in high school he started the band Four Souls which later became Four Souls Plus One. He attended the University of Delaware graduating with a degree in science. After college he worked as an assistant to the biologist. As a student Keith taught at Bancroft Middle School. He later moved on to a 12 year career at Family Court as a social worker, promoted to arbitrator and retired as supervisor of the Child Support Unit of Family Court. Keith started his own business called Production Services Sound Engineering and Consultation. Prior to this venture Keith, Pat, Noel and Gil Hunter started the Razzband. He was a smooth operator always thinking of ideas and trying to encourage others. He toured the world with Ornette Coleman and later with Mike Howard.  Keith was hired as the sound engineer for Shiloh Baptist Church in Wilmington, DE for 15 years.


Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Albie L Lee (mother), Willard H. Smith Sr. (father) and Myrtle M Smith (stepmother); his brothers, Willard H. Smith Jr., Maynard Smith and Arrin Smith; his sister Francine Walker and grandson,  Brandon A. Wiggins.


Keith leaves to cherish his precious memories his life long partner, Maxine Wiggins; stepchildren, Kenneth S. Wiggins (Jean), Darrin L (Lisa) and Tiffany J. Wiggins; sisters, Arnise Jackson, Lawrene Lee, Juith Schools, and Lenette Lee; 14 grandchildren, 28 great- grandchildren, host of nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
