Joyce P. Singleton

April 1, 1955 — October 3, 2020

Joyce P. Singleton was born on April 1st, 1955 in Wilmington, De, to Louis B. Prophet and Blondell Jackson. She went home to be with the Lord on October 3rd, 2020 at Wilmington Hospital in Wilmington, DE. Joyce aka Tricia went to Dela-Warr High school where she was involved in many social activities some of which were: Volley Ball, track & field and Women's Basketball. Tricia was also on the Student /Faculty advisory committee, Senior Athletic Committee, Student Counsel and the varsity club.

April 22, 1978 Joyce Married Willie T. Singleton Sr. and through their loving union birthed 4 children whom she was extremely proud of.

Tricia had a lot hobbies, she loved to watch game shows, play games like cards and enjoyed different board games with her family. What made her most excited was supporting all of her children & grandchildren in sports.

She was recently retired from the healthcare field and was employed with Bayada nurse after many years of service.

Joyce had a personality that was contiguous and could light up the room. Tricia was the least judgmental person you could ever meet, but if she had anything to say to you, she would, with love. She was great listener, if you've ever told her a story, you probably noticed how intensely she engaged. She loved her family with her whole heart and there was nothing you could say or do about it. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 23, as she often quoted it. She was a faithful member of New Calvary Baptist Church, where she loved to sing for the Lord and help wherever she was needed. Joyce was preceded in death by her father Louis B. Prophet and Sister Linda Thornton. Joyce is survived by her (Mother) Blondell Prophet, (Husband) Willie T. Singleton,(Brothers) Ben L. Prophet(Grace), Marvin Prophet(Margret), Robert Prophet(Valerie); (Children) Michele D. Jones(Maurice), Shawana N.Layne(Frank), Willie " TJ" Singleton, Patricia J. Singleton, 10 grandchildren 1 Godson and a host of relatives and friends.
