Reverend Ivan N. Collins. Jr., born in Nashville, Tennessee on October 21, 1930. He is the son the late Ivan N. Collins, Sr.and Betty Lee Collins. He departed this life and went home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2004 at the Riverside Long-term Nusing Home. He was a long time resident of the City of Wilmington associated with and a participant in many Christian and community affiliated organizations and events. He also serviced the communities for many years through his family fuel oil and heating business,"Collins Fuel & Heating". Rev. Collins served in the US Marine Corp and the Marine Corp Reserve. Pastor Emeritus Collins was a member and the former Pastor of the Rock of Ages Missionary Baptist Church in Belvedere, Delaware where he was the pastor for 30 years. Reverend Collins leaves to cherish his memories, his wife; Susie Collins; six children and one adopted daughter, Barbara Collins-Gale(Nathaniel), Gregory & Larry Collins, Declene Collins-Mitchell(Alrick) all of Wilmington, DE; Clinton Collins(Debbie) of Chandler, AZ., Mae Wilson(Pick) and Minister Rose James(Charles) both of Newark, DE.; four sisters, edna Lunsford(Joe) of Logansport, IN, Rosie Wilson(Brandon), Mary Mims and Margaret Collins-Timmons(Edward) all of Nashville, TN; two brothers, Edward Collins(Loretta) of wilmington, DE and Jospeh B. Collins(Sherri)of Royersford, PA; one uncle, Roosevelt Ross(Dottie) of Nashville, TN; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-granchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Annie Mae McGhee. Read Rev.
