Harry N. Carter

Harry Nelson Carter was born on March 25, 1947, to the late Robert and Dora Carter. He's proceeded in death by 4 brothers, James, and Robert Wright. Joseph and Sherman Carter three sisters Annamae and Pauline Wright and Mattie James.

Harry got his early education in Wilmington public schools and attended Brown Vocational technical school before joining the Marine Corp. He later worked at Hercules/Ashland Corp for 32yrs until he retired in 2011.

Harry fell in love with Eleanor Daniels and married in 1980. That union created 2 children Tomika Carter of New Castle, DE and Robert Carter (Jennifer) of Philadelphia, PA. He's leaving 2 grandchildren Shakeviah Carter and Semaj Bungy-Carter and 2 great-granddaughters Izhari Abdu and ZaNiyah Earle.

Harry also leaves to cherish 3 brothers Elmer of Lansing,MI. Donald Carter(Paula) and Paul Davis of Wilmington, DE. Sister-in-law Sybelldis Ross, Artenas Beaman, Arvona Daniels, Delores Butcher, Charlotte Haris (Fred),Deneen Butcher (Yousef). Brothers-in-law Harold Daniels, Overton Daniels (Kimberly) James Archie and Demetrius Butcher. God daughter's Kimberly Walton (Troy) Baltimore,MD, Sparkle Harrigan, Wilmington,DE and Casmere (G.R) Ferguson of Durham, NC. A host of neices, nephews, cousins and friends.

Harry enjoyed fast cars, traveling people watching on the boardwalk. His court and cowboy tv shows and spending time with his family. He appreciated good food, he would travel for it and bring it back to share with his brothers. He was always available to help anyone in need even opening his home if they needed a place. He took pride in running to the store 10 times a day for "pop pops pretty girls".
