Harold Lane Dodson

In love and infinite wisdom, God sent his angel into Taylor Hospital on Thursday, March 1, 2011, releasing from the suffering and calling into a new and longer life, the gentle spirit of Harold L. Dodson, lovingly called "Bug" who was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was the fifth of ten brothers and sisters. Harold Lane (Bug) Dodson, son of Mary and Nathan Dodson, was born March 10, 1955 in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Chester High School in 1973. He was president of the Flaming Dice Motorcycle Club, and he was also a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan. He loved being with his family and friends, music, dancing, and his motorcycle called "Bodacious." He enjoyed traveling to Richmond, Virginia for summer vacations. He would always lead the Dodson family in a line dance. His favorite sayings were, "Give me two steps up and pause," "I got the hook-up," and "This my stuff." He was predeceased in death by son, Matthew Powell, brother, Donald "Hoag" Fowlkes, sister-in-law, Margie Jefferson and brother-in-law, Thomas Payne. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 29 years, Jacqueline Dodson (nee) Peterson, two daughters; Davina Wilson of Claymont, DE, and Marsha Wahler of Wiesbaden Germany, mother, Mary Dodson of Chester, PA, father, Nathan Dodson of West Chester, PA, mother-in-law, Lucy Peterson of Chester, PA, brothers; Ronald Fowlkes (Ann) of New Castle, DE, Rufus "Ricky" Dodson (Yvette), Calvin "Naz" Dodson, all of Chester, PA, Barry Dodson (Anastasia) of Wilmington, DE, sisters; Cynthia Dodson of New Castle, DE, Irma Rideout and Beverly Dodson of Wilmington, DE, sisters-inlaw; Pricilla Gainer, (Michael), Lillian Yates, Doris Johnson, Florence Peterson, and Philomenia Fowlkes, all of Chester, PA, Ruby Payne of New Castle, DE, Rosalee Hollis (Sylvester) of Aston, PA, Loujean Lawson (Daniel) of Brookhaven, PA, and Katherine White (Walter) of Indianapolis, IN, seven grandchildren, uncles; James Fowlkes (Charlotte) of Trainer, PA, and Leroy Fowlkes (Patricia), one aunt, Shirley Hunter of Richmond, VA, special nephew, Ronald "Rabbit" Dodson of Claymont, DE, special cousins, Gloria Winston, and Melvin Lee, best friends; Charles "Bro Man" Reynolds and Kevin Johnson, a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
