Esther Campbell

August 12, 1952 — March 4, 2009

In Memory of Esther (Aunt Junie) Campbell Esther Campbell was born on August 12, 1952 in St. Anns, Jamaica, the daughter of Evelina & Adolphus Henry. Esther died on March 4, 2009 at Christiana Health Care. She completed her education in Jamaica. Today we buried the shell of what were our mom, our grandma, and our aunt. But, we don't want to remember just a shell. We want to remember her life and vitality - Her hospitality, her kindness, and her willingness to give her last to anyone in need. What do we remember about Mom, Grandma and Aunt Junie? She liked cooking, she was a hard worker, she liked her garden, she loved her children, grand children, and her family. Her favorite question "What do you want to eat?" Aunt Junie lived the words of one of her favorite reggae artist Garnet Silk "strong, strong affection. Oh, what a connection nothing can divide us, nothing separates us, and nothing can divide us." She has been a resident of the city of Wilmington along with her companion, Vasper Henry. Esther was employed at Christiana Health Care Systems for over ten years until her untimely death on March 4, 2009. She is survived by four sons, Gairy, Adolphus (Chris), Stanton (Mannix), and Sifton (Orville) and one daughter, Natasha; 15 grandchildren, Ney, Kenneth, Tiara, Shaneka, Alexis, Myyona, Jahmere, Brianna, Christian, Jameka, Jade, Nadia, Jayden, Kamora, and Julian;, four sisters, Cislyn Taylor, Amanda Campbell, Evelyn Henry, Adetah Henry; two brothers, Roy Henry, and Robert Henry and various nieces and nephews.
