Ernestine Joyce Waterman

Ernestine (Tina) Joyce Waterman, daughter of Samuel D. Pratcher Jr. and Joan M. Pratcher was born on March 31, 1970, in Wilmington, Delaware. She made her heavenly transition to the arms of God on April 25, 2021.
Tina graduated from Concord High School in 1988 and continued her education at Delaware State University, formerly known as Delaware State College. Tina continued to be a dedicated employee for the State of Delaware, Division of Social Services until her health began to fail her.
She made many lifelong friends and maintained contact with them until her death.

Tina was a faithful member of Ezion Fair Baptist Church for over 40 years, where she served on numerous ministries. She had a special love for the Women of Wisdom (W.O.W.) Ministry where she enjoyed the company of her fellow Christian sisters. Tina could often be found watching Hallmark movies or reading a book which was two of her favorite hobbies. She loved
getting together with her "Girlfriends Book Club," friends to discuss the latest book they had read. She was great with lending a listening ear to anyone in need and offering much needed advice and encouraging words to lift your spirits. No matter the situation, she would always
honor you with her beautiful smile.

Tina enjoyed spending quality time and going on outings with her 3 girls and being amongst family and friends. Prior to meeting the love of her life, Michael, Tina spent most of her time with her three daughters. Whether it was Awanas, Girl Scouts, Cheerleading or church functions, being with her girls was one of her greatest joys. Tina also enjoyed spending time with her godson at his baseball and football games. On July 5, 2019, Tina was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life Michael L. Waterman and the two were always inseparable. Together in this union they had six children, Michael Jr., Jamil, Tiana, Isaiah, Tikiera, and Tiffany.Tina always had a heart for others. She could often be found performing errands for family, friends and even helping strangers; but then again Tina never met a stranger. She truly embraced everyone and made them feel special, welcomed and a part of her circle.

Tina leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Michael L. Waterman; daughters, Tiana Pratcher, Tikiera and Tiffany Wynn; sons, Michael Waterman Jr, Jamil Waterman, Isaiah Waterman; parents, Joan Pratcher, Samuel D. Pratcher Jr. (Gail), ; father and mother in law, Willie and Lula Waterman; siblings, Shawnisa Mackey, Lisa Smith, Rosalind Pratcher, Kiya
Ridgeway (Wesley), Eric Saunders, Samuel D. Pratcher III (Steffany); eight brother and sister in laws; Geneva Mowbray, Ricky Waterman (Betty Jean), Dene Evans, Stanley Waterman (Robyn), and Cynthia Waterman-Locke (Robert); 1 godson, Nahzeere Khalil Gardner; a special aunt, Joyce Cephas; best friend, Dee Simons; a sister/niece, Rickia DeRamus; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other extended family and friends.
