Enid M. Eubanks

December 3, 1923 — February 24, 2017

Enid Maud Eubanks was born December 3, 1923, in York Castle, in the parish of St. Ann, Jamaica, W.I. to the parents of Vannie Royes and Alberta Wright (Cousins).
Thomas introduced Enid to his faith; in 1945, she heard the Gospel message from Florence Mchood and Frank Stephenson and made a full commitment to serve the Lord. She began attending Meetings at the home of Miss Leonie Irons in Coltart, Claremont St Ann, Jamaica. In 1946, Enid married Thomas Eubanks, and the pair entered a life-long commitment to the Gospel.
In 1970, Enid migrated to America where she lived with neighbors from back home, as well as some of the friends from the Gospel Meetings. In 1972, her husband Thomas joined her and they established their home in Wilmington, Delaware. Enid was a faithful and strong believer in the teachings of Christ and followed the Gospel teachings all the way to the end. In 1998, an opportunity arose for them to have Meetings in their home and they whole-heartedly accepted and provided a place for the Meeting where it remained until Enid's passing. Even as her health wavered, she was determined to attend service and would get ready early, come downstairs, and sit and wait for everyone to arrive.
Upon her arrival to the United States, Enid was employed as a caretaker. Eventually, she acquired a position as a healthcare provider with The Delaware State Hospital where she retired after many years of service. Enid enjoyed visits from the Workers and Friends of her Faith. She also enjoyed sewing, walking, reading her Bible, spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
Enid is survived by her sisters: Hermin Christian and Dorothy Bennett of Jamaica, Bernice Collins of Birmingham, England; Brother, Warren George Williams; stepson; Roy Eubanks, daughter; Veronica Stephenson, grand-children; Audrey Eubanks (Basil Williams), Nigel Luke (Kimberly), Neil Luke, Deborah Moore (Robert), Ruthann Stephenson and Joshua Stephenson, nieces; Veronica Watkis (Lloyd) and Yvonne Guy, nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. She was predeceased in death by her adoring husband, Thomas Eubanks; loving son, Nadal S. Luke; sister, Floris Williams and brothers: Rupert Royes and Michael Christian.
