Emma Jane Lewis was born on April 16,1942 in Lewes DE to Alfred William Tingle and Eva (Baynard) Tingle. Emma left this life on February 12, 2022 at Bayhealth Hospital in Milford DE
Emma Jane Lewis attended school at William C. Jason High School in Georgetown DE, it was here she wrote the note for June to pick her up from school one day that sparked a lifetime of love and family. Emma was employed at and retired from Allen's Food in Harbeson, DE. After retiring, Emma enjoyed to provide child care services for family and friends.
Emma was a faithful member and usher at the Philadelphia Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved softball, music, baking, taking care of and enjoying her family!
Emma was preceded in death by her parents: Alfred & Eva Tingle, her siblings: (brothers) George, Harry and James, (sisters) Elsie, Martha, Mary, Hessie and Alice.
Emma is survived by her husband, Samuel Lewis Jr., their children. (3) daughters, Martha Lewis
Sandra Mullen, Tornita Lewis; (2) sons, Samuel Tingle and Maurice Tingle; 17 grandchildren, 30+ great grandchildren, her sisters Edith Peterson and Florence Taylor; brother Jake Tingle a host of relatives and friends. Previous Events
