Drewy L. Richardson, Jr. was born on 05/15/1959, in Wilmington, Delaware, to Drewy L. Richardson, Sr. and Gladys V. Richardson. He passed on 03/12/ 2021 at Wilmington Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware. Junie as many would call him graduated from Howard High School at the age of 18. After high school Junie entered the military. He served 19 years and 9mos in the Army before he retired out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina with honorable discharge. After retirement he worked 10 years for the City of Newark as a sanitation worker and truck driver. Junie lived a carefree, and free spirited lifestyle. He traveled many miles during his time spent in the military. He enjoyed watching sports and loved the Miami Dolphins and Miami Heat sport teams. In his past time he enjoyed fussing with his cats Missy and Molly, taking pictures, chatting with family and friends, and enjoying an ice cold beer. He spent his later years close beside his best friend and father Drewy L. Richardson Sr. Most importantly Junie loved his daughters unconditionally; he was the toughest but sweetest girl dad any girl could ever have. Junie was preceded in death by his father Rev. Drewy L. Richardson, Sr. and mother Gladys V. Richardson. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Andrea Richardson of Prince George County, Virginia, Taylor Richardson of Wilmington, Delaware; 2 sisters Diana Stanford of Pensacola, Florida, and Shawntal Richardson of Wilmington, Delaware; 4 brothers Anthony, Daykevis, Reverend Columbus Hardy, Jr. of Connecticut and Jeree of Wilmington, Delaware; 1 god brother Charlie; 1 brother in law Melvin Stanford; 1 grandchild Jeremiah Beasley of Dinwiddie, Virginia; 1 niece Shemika Barnes, 1 nephew in- law Carlos Barnes, 2 nephews Kobe and Kyrie, and 1 grand-nephew Carlos Jr of Pensacola, Florida; and a host of close friends and cousins Darnell, Jerome, Dexter, Loretta, James, Margaret, Gwen, Tamara, and Wade; and the members of Greater Saint John Baptist Church.
