Douglas W. Waters Sr., loving son of the late Alfred and Lolita Waters, was born on October 18,1943 in Middletown, Delaware and peacefully departed his life on December 24,2020 with his loving wife by his side. Doug received his education from Middletown School in Middletown Delaware. Doug worked at Chrysler Corporation, which he retired from after 33yrs of service, and went onto become a business owner with his carpentry business, "Doug Rite Carpentry" Doug was a lifelong member of Dales United Methodist Church, where he served on the Trustee board. Doug was a strong and gentle man who enjoyed working with his hands, traveling, teaching and discussing the Bible, watching football games, "The Word Channel" and spending time with his great-grandchildren. Douglas was preceded in death by his mother and father, Alfred and Lolita Waters, and was the last of his siblings, sister Violeta Stevenson and three brothers, Austin, Randy Waters and Clement Waters. Douglas is survived by his devoted and loving wife Rose, daughters: Valorie, Gwendolyn (Gwen) and La'Tonya, sons Douglas Jr. and James, grandchildren: Douglas III, Jamar, Dashown, Joy, Rasheen, Lakeisha, Brandon, Brionna, Earnest (E), Eric, Kevin, Brandon, Noelle, Xavier, Jayanya, Malia and Jewel, and a special cousin Genera Skinner. As well as a host of special friends, the late Van Fields, William (Jimpty) Dickerson, Randy Haskins, Squeaky Cunningham, Ernie Needam, Everett Waters, Marsha Johnson, Mya, Josh, Tommi, David, Ray, Jennifer, Tanesha, his Monday Hour of Power with Minister Kane, Dr. Tony Conte and Brionna and Shannon whom he affectionally called his baby-sitters
