Douglas Phillip Randolph

November 10, 1945 — July 14, 2003

Age 57 of Bear, DE died Monday, July 14, 2003 at the Paoli Memorial Hospital in Paoli, Pa. Douglas Phillip Randolph was the son of Warren Sealy and the late Constance Randolph Sealy. Doug became the head boy's basketball coach and the physical education and health instructor at Penn Wood High School. Doug was affiliated with various organizations. He was a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Corporated, the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA) and the New Castle County Chapter of the DSU Alumni Association. Doug was a faithful member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church, where he sang on the men's chorus and served as a member of the Sons of Allen. He was inducted into the Delaware State University Athletic Hall of Fame, the Delaware County Black Hall of Fame for football, and the Media Oldtimers Hall of Fame. Doug was a loving husband to his wife of almost 28 years, Wanda Maddrey Randolph; and a devoting father to his son, David P. Lockwood; and his daughter, Ashlei Gussie Randolph. In addition to his father, he is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Autumn, David, Jr., and Jeffrey; brothers, Donald Randolph and Warren Sealy; his foster sister, Joanne Gaines; his grandmother, Jesse Randolph; his uncle, Alphonso Randolph; and a huge host of other relatives and friends.
