Dewitt A. Cannon, Sr. was born on August 26, 1924 to James and Mary E. Cannon in Sardis, MS. Dewitt maried his wife, Bernice in 1948. He was a member of Bethany Lodge #31 and a member of the Shriners Golconda Temple #24. Dewitt is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bernice, sister Grace Cannon allison, three children, Annie L. Branscomb (Lester) of St. Louis, MO, Dewitt , Jr. (Maria) of Montclair, NJ and Deborah, of Plainfield, NJ. He has nine grandchildren, and twenty great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
