Derek Keon Brown

Derek Keon Brown, 21, was born February 21, 2000 in Wilmington, Delaware, to Derek Herring and Keondra Brown. Derek departed this life suddenly on February 15, 2022.

Derek received his education in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, and Wilmington public school systems. He worked in construction as a laborer.

Derek loved his daughter Nylah Brown and was a devoted father to her. His expression of love was extended to his family and to anyone he cared about because he was known to give you his last. He had a love for music and his favorite artist was Rod Wave. Derek also adored all types of animals.

To know Derek was to understand how trustworthy and loyal he was as a person. He is deeply loved and will be truly missed.

Derek leaves to cherish his memory his father, Derek Herring, and mother, Keondra Brown; his daughter, Nylah Brown; his sisters Jasmine Brown, Arlisa Washam, Aniya Washam, Dominique Brown, Jazmyne Shivery, Denia Dunn, and Aaliyah Rider; brothers Ja'vonte Brown, Derron Dunn, and Nayeem Dunning; and a host of relatives and friends.
